Free Korean Classes/Language Exchanges
Koreans are very eager to share their culture with the rest of the world, and that includes their language. If you want to learn Korean, you have a number of options available to you, including some that are free and others that are nearly free- language classes and language exchanges. We have listed some of those in Busan, Daegu, Daejon and Seoul, of which we are aware.
BUSAN
Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) - Korean Classes
Levels : Pre-beginners, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced
Location: Dangseo University Continuing Education Institution outside Yangjeong Station, exit 2
Time: weekday mornings
Students: 15 students per class

DAEGU
Daegu Friendship Club - Language Exhange

Hami Mami’s at Club That - Language Exchange

DAEJEON
Daejeon International Community Center - Courses
Along with counseling, culture classes, and a lounge, the DICC has been offering free Korean classes to foreigners residing in Daejeon. Information on the classes is available in a number of different languages.
Location: the DICC outside of Daejeon Station, exit 2
Time: weekdays and weekends, time varies by level

SEOUL
Myeongdong Language Exchange Club - Language Exchange
Location: Outside exit 5 at Myeongdong Station (line 4- stop 424) in central Seoul
Time: every Sunday from 4PM
Cost: none (except for the coffee)

Galwol Community Welfare Center - Korean Classes
Location: near Sookmyung Women’s University Station (line 4 - stop 427), exit 2
Time: 4:00-5:30 PM each Saturday
Cost: free (recommended donation of W1,000)
Levels: from total beginners to advanced
Extra: after class, teachers and students usually go out for dinner and drinks

Location: inside the Joongang Daily Building

Levels: Beginners to Advanced

KOTRA - Korean Classes
Levels: Beginners, Pre-business, Business and Advanced Discussion
When: Mondays and Wednesdays / Tuesdays & Thursdays
Morning Class: 10:00AM to 11:30AM / Evening Class: 7:00PM to 8:30PM
Location: Invest Korea Plaza Building (IKP)
Subway line 3, Yangjae Station (342) Exit 7. Transfer to Buses bound for Bundang or Sungnam

Get off at Nonghyup Hanaro mart or KOTRA (IKP is located accross from Hyundai/Kia Motors)
Cost: free of charge for Staff of foreign invested businesses and diplomats as well as their families
