Are there Dollar stores in Korea?

There is a Japanese chain that is the equivalent of $1.00 stores - DAISO (다이소) with stores all around the penninsula. There are also DAISO vendors inside department and other stores.

DAISO sells a whole range of products, almost everything new arrivals would want and a very affordable prices - W500 to W5000.

For a list of store locations in Korea, you can visit the DAISO website and click on the third menu item
매장안내 . The list is in Korea only. There is an English section on the site, but with no specific information.
