Description: The arboretum is divided into several areas: a tropical arboretum, a ‘natural monument tree hill,’ an observation center for visitors to compare tree species, a rose garden, and a landscaped garden.
Closed:  January 1st, Seollal (Lunar New Year) & Chuseok
Hours:  March-October: 09:00-18:00  / November-February: 09:00-17:00

Getting there: KTO recommends driving as the site is difficult to reach via public transport.
Gwanbangjerim Forest  - Damnyang-gun, Jeollanam-do

Description:  Gwanbangjerim is a special man-made forest that was planted to prevent flooding along Damyangcheon Stream. The Korean Forest Service selected it as “Korea’s Most Beautiful Forest”.
Hours: 24 hours
Parking: Parking along the road nearby the forest is permitted
Getting there:  From Seoul Express Bus Terminal or Dong Seoul Terminal, take the bus to Gwangcheon U-Square Terminal (takes about 3 ½ hours).  From U-Square, take Bus # 311 to Jungnogwon (about 40 min). Get off at the Jungnogwon Garden Stop, turn right, and walk straight for about 3 minutes.

Juknokwon (Bamboo Garden)  - Damnyang-gun, Jeollanam-do

Admission: Adult W2,000 / Youth W1,500 / Child W1,000
Getting there:
-  From Express Bus Terminal, take a bus from Seoul to Gwangju (takes 3 ½ hrs).  At Gwangju Gwangcheon Terminal, take local bus 311 and get off at Jungnogwon (about 30 minutes.)
