Lotte World Tower 11th Fl, 300 Olympic Road
Songpa-gu, Seoul
BGN Eye Clinic, Lasik-Lasek-Eye Surgery, Jamsil, Seoul
BGN Eye Clinic, a lead facility for cataract diagnostics and surgery in Korea, has another branch in Lotte World Tower, Jamsil. One of the tallest buildings in the world is now home to our presbyopia center offering patients a chance to not only get rid of cataracts but to also forget about needing reading glasses. As technology progresses, age becomes less and less important in defining the quality of life. The large variety of intraocular lenses (IOL) available in our Lotte branch helps our patients feel young again.
The IOL lens is surgically implanted into the eye, replacing the natural lens, which does not serve its purpose anymore. The lens comes in several different types. The most commonly used ones are the following:
Monofocal lens: This type of lens fixes vision at a specific distance (near focus, mid-distance focus or distant focus). Only one of these three can be selected and the focus will not change after surgery. Many patients may still need to wear reading glasses after surgery.
Multifocal lens: Very similar to glasses with bifocal or progressive lenses. Multifocal IOL lenses ares not fixed at one specific distance; instead, they help patients to see objects at different distances.
BGN Eye Jamsil branch is equipped with Verio, LenSx, and Centurion, advanced technology now making all laser cataract surgery possible. Technology achievements, particularly in femtosecond laser development have been extremely helpful in the medical industry. While the skill of the surgeon is still the most important factor during surgery, they can achieve absolute preciseness with the help of the new technology, making the most challenging steps of the surgery safer.
Just like the other branches of BGN Eye, the Jamsil branch welcomes not only patients who want to have cataracts removed but also those looking for laser vision correction. Every single patient is guaranteed to receive a warm welcome and a service of the highest standards.
English/Russian Services: BGN Eye clinic is popular among foreign nationals. Therefore, our clinics provide support in English and Russian languages. It is important for us that our foreign patients are well informed and have a full understanding of the procedures. Additionally, the clinic runs special offers for foreign patients.
