Chadwick International is a PreK- G12 international school fully equipped with the state-of-the-art facility built in the Songdo International Business District, Incheon, Republic of Korea.
Chadwick International is the sister campus of Chadwick School, a K-12 school in the greater South Bay area of Los Angeles, which was founded by Margaret Lee Chadwick in 1935. The two campuses share the same mission that Chadwick Schools develop global citizens with keen minds, exemplary character, self-knowledge, and the ability to lead.
Curriculum
Chadwick International is authorized to offer PYP and DP by the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization and a candidate school for MYP. Chadwick International emphasizes experiential and inquiry-based learning both in and outside the classroom including Outdoor Education and Service Learning programs. The Outdoor Education allows students to develop conflict-resolution abilities and leadership skills through various outdoor experiences. Meanwhile, Service Learning program teaches students how to interact with both their local and international communities and problem solve on a deeper level. These fundamental programs assist students in transferring valuable lessons learned in the classroom and develop them as contributing members and leaders of tomorrow.
Athletics and Physical Education: Physical Education plays an integral part in the Chadwick International’s educational program curriculum. Our activity-based program emphasizes the skill development that improves the fitness and well-being of the individual student, as well as healthy and safe lifestyles. Teamwork and collaboration amongst learners help build leadership skills and interpersonal life skills.
Visual and Performing Arts: At Chadwick International, we value the intrinsic value of art education as a method of self-expression and increased creativity. Our art program provides students with opportunities to fuel their artistic abilities and development in the visual arts. Both aspects of technical analysis and instruction in a variety of art mediums as well as the creation, interpretation and study of art works further the development of their artistic skills.
Music: Chadwick International has a rich and diverse music program. Starting in the Village School, students participate in general music classes where they learn an appreciation of musical styles and forms. Village School students can also participate in orchestra or beginning brass classes. In Middle School and beyond, students have the option to study music in a performance based setting, including band, strings, choir, and orchestra. In these classes, students study a range of music and work to develop their knowledge, skills, creativity and ability to respond to musical ideas.
Theatre and Dance: Students at Chadwick International are exposed to a variety of theatrical mediums to express themselves and heighten their self-awareness in relation to the people and culture around them. Our students work collaboratively in creative dramatic and dance processes and situations, which explore how different cultures and communities define themselves through drama and theatrical experiences. Working with theatrical devices allows for creativity, self-expression, self-growth, interpretation and construction of the manufacturing of new work based on themes of inquiry and deeper contextual understandings.
Service and Action: Service and Action at Chadwick International encourages students to get involved with the community through volunteer activities, combining community service with thoughtfully planned reflection activities, extending students’ learning beyond the classroom. It is an educational experience in which students work with their peers, applying what they are learning in class to help solve community problems; and reflect upon their experiences as they seek to gain a deeper understanding of skills and concepts.
Outdoor Education: Chadwick International Outdoor Education develops exemplary character and promotes self-discovery through small group adventures in the wilderness. Through challenge and adventure, students develop a sense of self, an understanding of community, and an appreciation for the natural world. OE assists students in transferring these valuable lessons to the classroom and students’ home life to prepare students to be contributing members of society and the leaders of tomorrow. Currently, students in grades 3-12 participate in OE trips.

Faculty
Chadwick International’s educators are fully certified with the majority holding a Masters or higher degree in their related fields of education. Also, the majority of its teachers have worked at international schools throughout the world, gaining experience and enriching their global perspective. The low student to faculty ratio of 8:1 allows for individual attention to the specific needs of each student in an environment open to critical thinking and creative expression.

Surroundings
Chadwick International occupies 500,000 square feet of educational facilities in the center of Songdo International Business District (Songdo IBD). The location enjoys modern amenities of city life close to Central Park, the Convention Center, the Cultural Center, museums, hotels, golf course, theaters, and transportation centers. The city is located just south of Incheon and less than 15 miles from the Incheon International Airport.
Chadwick International students and their families have representation from around the world due to a diverse international business community. Songdo IBD contains a large number of new residential units, and students also come from the surrounding areas as well as Incheon and Seoul.
About Chadwick School: Chadwick International is the second campus of Chadwick School in Palos Verdes, California, founded in 1935. Chadwick School is the only K-12 independent coeducational day school in the greater South Bay Area.
